Terms of Use

The terms for using Tempo and Faithful Way.

Last updated October 11, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Forward Software LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Forward Software,” “we,” “us”), which publishes apps under the name Forward Vision, including Tempo and Faithful Way (the “Apps”). By downloading or using an App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Apps.

2. App license

If you download an App from Apple’s App Store, your license to use it is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), and these Terms add to it. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls for App Store downloads. If you download an App from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply to your download and purchases. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Apps on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

3. Who can use the Apps

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Apps. If you’re under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Apps only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.

4. Subscriptions and free trials

  • The Apps require a paid subscription, which may begin with a free trial. The price, billing period and trial length are shown before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting an App or your account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
  • Apple and Google process all payments and refunds under their own policies. We can’t issue refunds directly.
  • We may change subscription prices. Apple or Google will notify you of a price change as their rules require, and, where required, ask for your consent before it applies.

5. Accounts

Some features require an account. Give us accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Settings → Account → Delete account) or as described on our support page.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you bring into or create in the Apps, such as documents you import into Tempo, and check-ins, profile details and messages in Faithful Way (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Apps for you, for example to sync your reading positions or deliver a message to a friend.

You’re responsible for Your Content. Only import or share material you have the right to use, and use Tempo to read content for your own personal use.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Apps to break the law or anyone’s rights; to harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone; to send spam or harmful content; to try to get into accounts or systems you aren’t allowed to access; or to interfere with, overload, copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the Apps, except where the law expressly allows it. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Our content

The Apps, including their design, software, prayers, lessons and other material we provide, are owned by Forward Software or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Bible text is provided by API.Bible and from public-domain translations under their own terms. Books in Tempo’s catalog are in the public domain in the United States; availability may vary by country. Except for the license in section 2, these Terms don’t give you any rights in our content or trademarks.

9. Not professional advice

Faithful Way offers spiritual encouragement and Bible-based teaching. It isn’t a substitute for professional counseling, or for medical, mental-health or legal advice. If you’re in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, in the US call or text 988, or contact your local emergency number. Tempo is a reading tool, and we don’t promise any particular reading speed or level of comprehension.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the Apps and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we stop offering an App. If we stop offering an App you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance where we reasonably can. Sections 6 through 12 continue to apply after your use ends.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Apps are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Forward Software won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Apps is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can’t be waived.

12. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll let you know in the App or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Apps after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
